Naomi Linnea!

You have probably already heard but on Saturday, April 30 we welcomed little Naomi Linnea into our lives! We couldn't be happier! She was born at 8:31 pm, weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. Here are some stories and pictures from the day she was born. The last picture as a family of four! This was taken at around 5:00 right before my parents took the girls.

I couldn't have asked for a better labor experience this time around. I started having contractions that I thought might be the real thing at around 7:30 in the morning but nothing too consistent. As the day went on, they kept getting stronger and closer together. As soon as I was pretty sure it was real, you should have seen how much stuff I got done around the house, picking up, paying bills, doing laundry, dishes, etc... I guess you can feel prepared to have the baby but then as soon as you know its really coming, there are so many little things still left to do :)

Matt and Elsa were close by doing a work project for church so they came over in the afternoon, Scott Johnson happened to stop by and then my parents came over to pick up the girls and hung out for a while. It was nice to have the distraction of other people being over. And we've definitely got some good stories to tell from the afternoon :)

We ended up leaving for the hospital at around 6:00 and Naomi was born at 8:30! By the time I got to the hospital, my contractions were 4-5 minutes apart and I was 7 cm dilated. I was so encouraged to be that far along! I was also glad because I really didn't want to get an epidural and hearing that really helped me stick to that.

And on her first night home, the girls wanted to read her some bedtime stories.

It was really sweet.
