I had a lot of random pictures of Sonja that really seemed to capture what she's been up to recently. Thought I'd share (and really mostly just document it for me:)
Sonja has been loving walking with someone. It's funny because she pulls herself up on furniture all the time but won't walk sideways along it, only straight with someone holding her hands. She is pretty good at standing by herself and has taken some steps on her own (four is the current record) but she mostly just thinks its fun to fall towards you so she takes the steps and then laughs and falls. She also thinks its fun to fall backwards so we have to watch carefully for that! I'm so ready for her to be done crawling (or dusting our floors) but walking will have its own new set of challenges. Here we go!
I had to include this next little series...is she going to be as good at funny faces as her big sister? I think so!
Sonja spends a lot of time pointing at things these days. We went to the zoo a couple weeks ago and it was the first time that she was really interested. She would point at the animals and say "OH" (a favorite thing to say) and sometimes wave. Its so fun to be moving into this stage!
Having a great time as always! And if you look click on this picture and look closely, you can see her two little teeth on the bottom. The first one came in right before Bolivia and the second one while I was gone. It must not have been too painful though because Cam didn't even notice it and I saw it when I got back. Maybe they will all come in that easily :)
And already talking on the phone! I couldn't believe when she picked up this phone and put it right to her ear. They sure do learn early. I'm not looking forward to the day that the "I want my own cell phone" argument begins. Yuck.
Here's a cute one that Carmela sent me when they watched her for the wedding. She loves swings!
