Children's Fair and Midsommar Fest

The Children's Fair in Winnetka and Midsommar Fest in Andersonville fall on the same weekend every year and once again, we hit them both.

The Children's Fair

And Midsommar Fest. We met up with the Nordlunds and the Voss's for breakfast at Ann Sathers and then off to the Swedish American Museum to play in their Immigration Exhibit, a perfect activity in the rain. The timing hasn't quite worked out for us to play here yet (although we live a block away) and Gwen LOVED it. We'll definitely be spending more time here.

I asked Gwen if she was being a teacher because she often does that but she said she was being a pastor! So cute.

How cute are they?

And then outside for the Maypole raising, dancing and singing. Always fun. Didn't get any good pictures of that.

And another highlight of summer in our neighborhood, the puppet bike. This guy rides this puppet theater bike around and does puppet shows for people. They are actually really funny and entertaining for kids and adults alike. The puppets dance, hug, high five, argue over the dollar bills kids give them and many other antics.

Oh the Children's Fair. What great memories and fun that you can bring your own kids there now!

Happy to see you are still blogging even though you are in Mexico!
