16 inches...gone!

today was the day! although there are many things that i do love about having long hair, it takes longer to wash/brush, i have a 5 month old always grabbing at it (and ending up with some in her hand) and thinking ahead to a summer on the go, i was ready to cut it and excited for a change!
perfect timing to notice a "hair model needed" sign in the window of a salon in our neighborhood. i called and the owner of the salon wanted to do a bob on someone to show some of his stylists a new technique. i was actually really excited not to have to make a decision on how i wanted to cut it, that always seems to be the annoying part for me. i basically just let him decide and "okayed" it. so i went this morning and had a great time, not to mention an expensive haircut for free! he actually did about 3 haircuts getting successively shorter to show the techniques. anyway, enough of that boring stuff, here are some pictures!

Before (obviously)

we first cut out ponytails to donate to Locks of Love. it was also so refreshing when i could just swing my head without the weight of my hair!

and the finished product...i love it! it will be interesting to see how it looks when i actually do it myself. well, really do nothing to it because i usually just wash and go, or maybe blow dry it if i have time. it will take some getting used to but i look forward to it being so much easier!

this isn' t really the best picture of the front, but you get the idea :)

Good to see that Cam is reading the blog. I love it, Linnea. Way to take a risk.

I was watching Descaballeros (Shear Genius) the other day and thinking how it would be fun to be a hair model. Good thing the results were good!
