What a great day! Despite a sick flower girl (great timing for the girl who never gets sick!) it was an absolutely perfect day. Greta looked stunning (that's an understatement) and all of her hard work and planning paid off. Now she's Mrs. Bailey and I've got another wonderful brother-in-law!
A little bit about Gwen...she had a fever in the morning, had some tylenol and was completely fine most of the day. Then around 3:10 (the wedding was at 3:30) she told me that she was cold and then she totally started shaking and had a fever again :( I was literally holding her until about 2 minutes before I had to walk in and I even almost forgot to put my shoes on until someone else noticed! Thankfully, Courtney was there to help with Gwen because I don't know what I would have done otherwise! Thanks Courtney! So she was unable to perform her snow-sprinkling flower girl duties. By the end of the ceremony she was feeling better and she did pretty well the rest of the night, but definitely was not her normal self. It was a bummer because she was really looking forward to dancing at the wedding and talked about it for months before. I was looking forward to seeing that too :( Cam and I took shifts being with her and luckily there was a nice private room at the reception where she could go when she felt overwhelmed or needed to rest. So needless to say, we didn't get to enjoy the night like we would have wanted to but I guess that's life with kids! I felt like I was able to be there for Greta and that was most important to me.

Getting ready, not sick yet.

She was watching the complicated process of getting Greta's dress on.
Lighting candles before the ceremony. There were over 100 candles in the front of the sanctuary. It was so beautiful!

There she is! Unfortunately dealing with 2 kids all day, I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I would have liked.
Waiting for pictures.

As indicated in earlier posts, Gwen has not been a huge fan of smiling for pictures these days. We talked it up for the week before that it would be important for her to smile but at the end of the pictures we did need to resort to a licorice bribe.
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey!
Making snow angels in the fake snow that had found its way to the floor after being sprinkled by the other flower girl.
Praying before dinner. After I took this picture, Gwen turned to me and said "Shh, Mommy, we're praying." She even tells me to be quiet. I feel sorry for her future classmates :)

Luckily, Sonja did a lot of this during the reception, so we could focus on Gwen!

Everyone looks beautiful! So sorry to hear that Gwen wasn't feeling good and couldn't dance the night away.
