To save money on removing dead trees from their yard, my parents like to just pull them down themselves. Its always quite an event and a semi-dangerous but fun one :) A previous tree removing adventure included someone standing the garage roof pushing the tree away from the neighbors garage and SUV while someone pulled.

It's sort of hard to tell, but the two trunks on the right are part of the one coming down.
Yes, the one leaning towards the neighbors yard, that's what makes it all a little nerve-racking.
